As the Finnish governments have been reducing the pensions for decades and the structure of the pension-system. It means that the older the pensioner is, the less is the actual purchasing power of the pensioner.
The pensioner has thus three options;
- live on welfare and in many cases choose between food and medicine on daily basis.
- stand in the famous bread-queues (if such exists near ones home area).
- or move abroad
This site tells about the third option: to move abroad, to the cheapest EU-country Bulgaria and how to form a social network with the locals and those that comes from abroad.

Houses for sale - see page:
http://leshnikovo.weebly.com/asuminen.html
There are lot of houses for sale. On the page there is just a few examples and photos of typical houses for sale.
You can also see some outside pictures of houses for sale that are beyond repair. They are still valuable as the law says, that if there still is a foundation, everything built on that is just 'reparations'. So, if you torn down a building, you can leave the foundation and build on that for example sauna or small cottage. Under local law it is accepted just as "renovating the old house". You do not need an architect or do any paperwork. You just build/let build as you please.
